The lesson book and CD will assist you in reviewing your music between class meetings. Classes meet for 50 to 55 minutes each week. Class groups are up to 8 people and tend to stay together as they continue to the next quarter. The Quarters are Fall, Winter, and Spring with Summers being 6 to 8 weeks based on the class members choice. Each class group develops its own pacing through the material. Most class groups will get through a whole book in two to three quarters.
As our adult classes grow we will be offering a Celebration of students growing skills by offering occasional socials with a snack or a potluck light meal. Class members may bring family and friends to enjoy time together while listening to background music provided by class members. Guitar students bring their own guitars and the keyboards and grand piano will be set up for piano ensembles, solos, or duets. Class members are not required to play at these events – it is always voluntary.
